Children On Daybeds

Toddler furniture must someday give way to bigger sized kids furniture. Your small daughter will grow up and will want a bed that reflects her age and her new style. Daybeds can be the solution to bridging the gap between childhood and the teen years.

An additional advantage of a daybed is that it can go into a spare bedroom for when visitors come to stay at your house. It does not take up a lot of space and can be used as a seating area when the bed is not in use. Just throw some pillows on the daybed and you will have a lovely seating area.

Daybeds and futons do look alike when the futon is in an upright position. But unlike a futon, the daybed does not fold out into a full size bed. You also have a different arrangement of the back and the sides.

When you go to purchase a daybed you need to consider the material that the bed is made from. A wooden daybed will last longer than the metal tube daybed.

Your daughter will have a blast switching from a toddler bed to that of a daybed. Toddler beds are too young and small for her but daybeds are just the right size.

Go ahead and let her have a choice in her bedroom furniture and bedding. It will give her a sense of power over her belongings and she may treat them much better.
