The Architectural Designs Shape Our Buildings

The architectural world has seen its fair share of beauty and disaster. Great works of art and architecture styles have come and gone throughout mankind's history. Some have been lost to natural disasters while others have been lost through war and ignorance.

It is a shame when we have knowingly torn down incredible monuments in history that were designed with a specific purpose in mind. But there have been some designs that have lasted and still remain.

The architectural significance of certain periods in history is not lost to us. We see the Wonders of the World and have to marvel at the incredible vision of these gifted draftsmen. The Sistine Chapel, Mount Rushmore, and the Taj Mahal are just three of the greatest examples in architecture that the world has ever seen. Each has stood the test of time and have remained so countless other architects could study the works.

While the architectural world has had its fair share of tragedy, it has had resounding success in creating new generations of designers who want to preserve history and continue to design the future of architecture. There will be other buildings that fall but in their place, new works of art will be created and be a monument to the tenacity and beauty that man can create.
