Bonsai Tree In A Japanese Garden

The bonsai tree has been cultivated for centuries, for not only decoration but also to help people keep their lives in a state of peaceful harmony. Today, the world is a hectic, chaotic mess and almost everyone endures unhealthy levels of stress at times.

However, even in our fast paced world of today a person can still use bonsai art to create an environment of serenity. One way to do this is by understanding how the ancients used this art form in their lives.

The history of the bonsai tree began in ancient China, during the time of the Han Dynasty. In the beginning, people did not prune the foliage. The main focus was placed on the bark of the trees and how they could be transformed into various shapes of birds, dragons and other animals. Myths and legends still exist that involve these early beginnings of the trees that are now seen as only decorative objects by many.

The bonsai tree has only been known in North America since the early 1900s. However, time has passed and now, people all over the world have the opportunity to create this art form in their own gardens.

The trees have a very significant and important history for the countries of Japan and China. As the world becomes smaller, so too do the cultural items that define a country. Now these items can be used today to connect people all over the world.
